12V Remote Battery Disconnect Switch Kit

🔋 12V Remote Battery Disconnect Switch Kit — Control Your Battery Connection by Remote

Make battery disconnection easier when parking or storing a compatible vehicle. This 12V Remote Battery Disconnect Switch Kit lets you operate the connection with a handheld remote, reducing the need to open the hood and remove a terminal clamp each time. The pictured kit includes the switch assembly, a red connection lead, and two ON/OFF remotes.

📱 Disconnect After Parking, Reconnect Before Use

Once correctly installed, the remote gives you a convenient way to control the battery connection during your storage routine. Disconnecting the connected vehicle loads can help limit their battery draw while parked. The unit also has manual ON/OFF controls on its housing. Operate only with the vehicle safely parked and the engine off.

⚙️ Magnetic Latching for Lower Holding-Power Demand

The specified magnetic-latching design is intended to maintain the switch position without continuously energizing a conventional holding coil. This supports a power-conscious storage setup, although the remote-control electronics still use standby power. Battery condition and storage duration remain important.

🔧 Check the Fit Around Your Battery

The terminal-mounted layout places the switch beside the battery connection. Before purchase, check the battery-post dimensions, cable reach, mounting orientation, and hood clearance. Confirm that the switch’s continuous and starting-current ratings meet your vehicle’s requirements, and follow the supplied wiring instructions for installation.

🚗 A Practical Addition to a Compatible 12V Setup

Consider it for a compatible 12V car, pickup, or other vehicle that spends time parked between uses. Compatibility depends on the electrical load and battery layout, not simply the vehicle category. Disconnecting power may reset settings and disable alarms, locks, or other equipment that needs a constant supply.
